If you are holding your lectures synchronously, using MS Teams, you may need to share your screen with your students on occasion. You can use both your desktop or mobile device to share your screen. This tutorial provides a description of how to share your screen using your desktop.
Directions
- Start a Teams Meeting.
- Note: If you need help with this step, refer to our “Start a Meeting with Students in Microsoft Teams” tutorial.
- Click the Share Screen button. Its symbol is a rectangle with an arrow, and it is located in the bar at the top of the screen.
- Click the Window you would like to share.
- Note: If you choose an application window (such as a Word document or browser page), only that window will be shared. If you choose Desktop, your entire screen, including all windows and notifications that appear, will be shared.
- To allow someone else in the session to control your screen:
- Hover your cursor at the Top of the Screen to show the controls.
- Click Give Control.
- Select the person’s Name from the drop-down menu.
- To stop presenting your screen:
- Hover your cursor at the Top of the Screen to show the controls.
- Click Stop Presenting. This will not end the call.
