Schedule a Recurring Meeting in Teams

One of the easiest ways to keep your course running smoothly is to schedule a recurring meeting in Teams. This will enable you to meet with your students for live lectures, discussions, or other class activities. Follow the steps below to schedule a meeting for your MS Teams Class. Directions

  1. Go to the Faculty and Staff Hub.
  2. Click Quick Links.
  3. Click Office 365 (Email and More)
  4. Click the Apps Icon (9 dot array) in the top left of the screen.
  5. Click Teams from the list of options.
    • You can also use the Microsoft Teams Desktop app on your computer.
  6. Select the Teams tab on the left side of the screen to open the Teams area.
  7. Select the Class you want to set a recurring meeting for.
  8. Click the downward arrow next to the Camera icon in the upper right part of the screen.
  9. Select Schedule a Meeting from the drop-down menu.
  10. Type in a Title, for example, “Class Meeting.”
  11. Set the Date and Time.
  12. Click Does not repeat.
  13. Select Weekly from the drop-down menu.
  14. Select often the meeting will repeat using the “Repeat every” drop down boxes.
    • This will automatically set as repeat every 1 week.
  15. Select the Days of the Week the meeting will occur.
    • If the meeting will be more than once a week, select all the days the meeting will happen. Any repeat settings will apply to all days selected.
  16. Click Select date next to End to select the date for the last meeting.
  17. Click Save.
  18. Type in any Meeting Details in the text box.
  19. Click on Send in the upper right part of the screen. This will send an email to each of your students to accept the calendar invite.
