Where is the course summary and calendar in my syllabus?

On your Syllabus in Canvas, there is a list of assignments and due dates at the bottom of the page. In the top right-hand corner, there’s also a calendar showing the same information. If you’re not seeing these things in your syllabus, they have likely been disabled.

Follow the steps below to enable the Course Summary and Calendar in the Syllabus.

Enable Course Summary and Calendar in the syllabus

  1. Log in to your Canvas Account.
  2. Select the Course you’d like to work in.
  3. Click Syllabus in the left-hand course navigation menu.
  4. Click Edit in the top right-hand corner.
  5. Click the checkbox next to Show Course Summary below the main text field.
  6. Click Update Syllabus in the bottom right-hand corner.

The Calendar is located in the top right-hand corner of the Syllabus page when the Course Summary is active.
The Show Course Summary checkbox below the main text box in the Syllabus Edit page is outlined.
The Show Course Summary checkbox must be checked for the Course Summary and the Calendar to be present.
