There are numerous third-party applications connected to Canvas that can be used to enhance your course. The table below details the various apps that are supported and site-licensed by MSUD that you can use. Also included are links to CLTD tutorials that will walk you through the steps to connect them.

LinkedIn Learning is an online education platform that all MSU faculty and students have a subscription to. LinkedIn Learning contains entire video courses and stand-alone segments on business, technology-related, and creative skills that can be used as a supplemental resources to enhace a course. All content is presented by experts in the field. |

Lucid for Education can be used to integrate interactive and visual learning tools directly into your course. These tools foster allow students to brainstorm, organize ideas, and visualize complex concepts in real time. |

OneNote is part of the Microsoft Office Suite, and as such is supported by MSU Denver. OneNote allows you to keep multiple notebooks for tracking tasks, taking notes, and even inludes drawing options. |

Microsoft Teams is a communication tool that can be used for meeting with students and colleagues and can be used for synchronous classes, office hours, and small group meetings. Useful features include chat, video conferencing, screen sharing, calendar, collaborative spaces, and more. Microsoft Teams is part of the Office 365 Suite at MSU so there is integration with Outlook email. |

ProctorU Auto is an automated online proctoring service. The multi-factor authentication confirms the identity of the exam taker and allows for live exam viewing by the faculty member or a recorded exam session that can be viewed by faculty after the testing session. |

NetTutor is an online tutoring service that is free for MSU Denver Students, and accessible through Canvas where enabled by your professor. They offer tutoring in a wide range of subjects as well as offering support for test prep. TutorMe connects you with an online tutor within 30 seconds of searching. | On-demand online tutoring in a variety of subjects as well as preparation for standardized testing. | |||
YuJa is a powerful video tool to add media to your online classroom. You can convert your presentations into engaging lessons and incorporate multimedia principles into your content. You can also house all of your recorded lectures in one place, make basic edits to your presentations, and embed videos directly into your Canvas course. |
