Why is my quiz showing up as an assignment?
Canvas uses Assignments, available from the course navigation menu on the left, as an umbrella that includes all assessments. Any quizzes (Classic or New) or discussions that you create for a course can be accessed from their respective links or from assignments link in the course navigation menu on the left.
New Quizzes currently do not offer the option of “question group” type questions.
