When you record a meeting in Teams, that recording is automatically available to all of the members of the Class Team the meeting was scheduled in, or any required attendees. Teams does automatically generate a transcript and captions for recordings that you can edit, however, it may helpful to upload the recording to YuJa so you don’t have to worry about the access settings in Teams.

Download the Recording from Teams
Find a recording through the Meeting directly
- Open MS Teams.
- Click Teams on the left-hand side of the screen.
- Click on the Team where the recording was created.
- Locate the Meeting that was recorded in the General Channel.
- If the Meeting was not created through a Teams Class, locate the video through the calendar, and click Chat from the pop-up window. The recording will be under the Chat feature.
- Click See details under the meeting.
- Click the Video to open the video.
- Hover over the Video.
- Click Download.
- Enter a Name for the video.
- Click Save.
Find a recording through OneDrive
- Click on OneDrive from the left-hand side of the Teams Screen.
- Click Media on the left under Browse files by.
- Hover over the Recording.
- Click the circle at the top right of the video to select the recording.
- Click Download at the top of the screen.
- Enter a Name for the video.
- Click Save.
Upload the Recording to YuJa
- Go to msudenver.yuja.com on your internet browser.
- Click Sign In in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- Login using your MSU Denver Single Sign-On credentials.
- Click My Media from the left hand navigation menu.
- Click the folder you want the recording in.
- Click on Upload in the toolbar along the top of the screen.
- Click on Browse in the pop-up window that appears.
- Find the Recording File in your computer.
- It is likely in the Downloads folder of your computer.
- Select the Recording File.
- Click on Open in the bottom right-hand corner of the pop-up window.
- Depending on the length of the recording and your internet connection speed, this could take less than a minute or much longer. Progress will be tracked in a pop-up menu in the bottom right of your screen. Wait for the video to finish uploading and processing before you continue.
- Auto Captions will be automatically generated. This could take some additional time after the video is done uploading.
- You can check if a video has finished generating auto-captions by hovering over it and click on More in the menu. Under Caption Status, you will see either “Sent for auto captioning” or “Captioning complete.”
